THE EVENTS

Festivals or evenings for dreams with your family

With its patron Hubert Reeves, the Fleurance astronomy festival invites visitors to explore the mysteries of the sky and the stars in August. The event includes conferences, workshops and, of course, sky-gazing sessions for young and old alike.

And don't forget the astronomy nights at the region's observatories: at Jolimont in Toulouse, Montredon-Labessonnié (Tarn), Sabarat (Ariège) and Les Pléiades (Haute-Garonne) conferences, planetarium and sky-gazing sessions are regularly on offer.

La Ferme des Etoiles dans le Gers

In the Gers region, a world reference for stargazing

Practise your astronomy at Fleurance, in attractive fortified town in Gers. Described as "a world reference in stargazing" by the Routard Guide, the Ferme des Etoiles welcomes visitors for astronomy stays. You can sleep in a guest house or in one of the park's 5 astrobubbles!

Also in the Gers region, the Hameau des Etoiles holiday village offers sights that are internationally unique with its universe observation dome.

Well worth a visit
